FTP File Transfer Protocol: How Do I Use CoffeeCup For FTP
In order to connect, first add the settings for your server.
This may be done through the 'Servers' dropdown menu or by clicking on the
third button.
This dialogue box allows a person to enter
the settings for a hosting account. The 'Name' field is arbitrary.
Important fields are the hostname (domain), username, and password.
Now that the settings for a hosting
account have been added we are ready to connect. The connection
button is the first one on the left, with a yellow lightning bolt.. click the connection button.
CoffeeCup needs to know which server of
those listed it should connect to. Select the server and then click
the 'Cool' button.
CoffeeCup requires confirmation at this
stage. Click 'Yes' to confirm that you really intend to upload the
file.
The dialogue box shows the progress of
the transfer. Users on fast
connections probably will not even notice this box as it will disappear
quickly.
