Repairing the FrontPage Server Extensions can break other things (FrontPage 2000/2002/2003)

Repairing the FrontPage Server Extensions can break other things (FrontPage 2000/2002/2003) If you ever have to ask your hosting company to repair the FrontPage Server Extensions, be aware that doing so can cause some inadvertent problems. Most significantly, repairing the server extensions turns all your subwebs back into ordinary folders. A subweb is a folder to which special FrontPage configuration files have been added. Subwebs can have their own navigation structures, themes, shared borders, and permissions; folders cannot. So when a subweb reverts to folder status, it suddenly inherits all those settings from the parent website. To restore your subwebs, you\\'ll have to reconvert the folders and then reapply themes and shared borders, and reassign permissions.
